Tyler Farrar, a 2002 graduate from Wenatchee High School will be riding with the Garmin-Slipstream team in the Tour de France this year. A 25 year old sprinter currently living and racing in Belgium, both his parents still live in WA state. He will be the first WA native to race in the Tour.
Tyler started racing competitively at 12, and was on the US National team at 18, with his sights set on becoming a pro rider. He finished second in two stages of the 2009 Giro d’Italia.
