This bicycle pays homage to the 16th Stage of the 2010 Giro d’Italia, the individual time trial to the top of Plan de Corones.
The bike gives a nod to what may be the most difficult stage in this year’s Giro, and features specially-painted pink Campagnolo Record hubs, the entire 16th Stage route map painted on the fork legs, a nearly all-Italian parts pick, with Ambrosio Nemesis tubular wheels.
Only 21 bicycles sold will be offered between now and June 30th, 2010, and will be exclusively sold at Cascade Bicycle Studio and Ride Studio Cafe.
Stop in and say hi to Zac- he’s a super nice dude- and knows a thing or three about bikes.

And if you are looking for more… I got this info from the CBS newsletter:
Meet Pedaler. Very nice looking, made in the USA, giving back to the community….
From the site:
Pedaler Clothing is a cycling apparel line developed specifically for the street cyclist. Our goal is to create cycling apparel technical enough to endure the issues associated with a cycling commute or cycling in general, yet stylish enough to be considered street wear.
Each garment is designed for functionality, fashion, riding visibility and fabric sustainability. All garments are and will continue to be manufactured in the United States and all garments are unisex. A percentage of the net profits received from the sales of our garments will be donated to various cycling organizations around the nation, so that we can do our part spreading awareness of cycling issues, furthering pro-cycling legislation, and promoting cycling as an alternative mode of transportation, healthy lifestyle option, and an art and cultural movement. Please look at the “bike info” section of this site for the organizations that we are interested in.
We have a full line ranging from T-shirts to Bags all made in the United States. We have used either sustainable, organic or US made textiles on all of our garments and have placed emphasis on trying to use US sources for all trims and embellishments including our hardware for our bags, our wooden buttons and our reflective logos and accents.
A little relic found on the Youtube. Almost Live! was a sketch comedy show in Seattle from 1984-1999. In this clip they discuss bike lanes around Greenlake and the car vs. bike debate.
The bicyclist’s pledge:
-I will dart wildly in and out of cars only when I have a good reason, like if I’m late for a Beck concert.
-I will spend an equal amount of time frightening old people up on the sidewalk as I do frightening old people in cars.
-Once in a while, I will stop at a stop sign, just to show people that I do know what it means.
The Driver’s pledge:
-I will honor the bicyclist’s right to share the road with me, unless it looks like I’m going to miss the start of Wheel of Fortune.
-I will no longer shout “Hey you look like a gay space alien from a planet where gays don’t have a lot of fashion sense” at passing bicyclists.
-I will not use a two ton automobile to intimidate someone who is trying to be ecologically sensitive, unless he gives me one of those smug, self-righteous glares- then I’m going to have to go a little medieval on his bony ass.

Thursday May 27th Seattle will host THE WESTERN HEMLOCK PRE WESTSIDE INVITE INVITE. It’s going to be a hoot, which you can tell from the flyer. I mean, it has a cowgirl on it. How could it not be a hoot with a bad ass horse and a bad ass cowgirl? It’s 5 bucks, and there will be an alleycat and a party to follow with bands. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I’ll see you there, then I’ll see you here.
With the Single Speed Cyclocross World Championships happening in Seattle this October, it’s time to start thinking about what you are going to ride. Well Traitor Cycles, in Ferndale, WA is joining the ranks of companies offering a single speed cyclocross bike. Enter the Traitor Cycles “Crusade” frame and fork.
The Crusade uses Columbus Life tubing for the frame (with SS dropouts) and Columbus SLX for the split crown fork. People often say “it’s the little things” well Traitor has given lots of thought to the little things on this bike. Internal cable routing, a clean looking seat stay cable stop, S-bend seat stays and an integrated chain tensioning system. The Crusade seems to be a solid bike at a reasonable price: $699 for frame and fork.
Single Speed Worlds shouldn’t be missed. What are you going to ride?
