You may remember the Beard and Stache Dash from last year. Lots of fun, and lots of facial hair. This year, GO MEANS GO is teaming up with THE WORLD IS FUN to bring you the second annual BEARD AND STACHE DASH!
In the same vein as last year- it is Man (and woman) vs. Machine. That’s right. Bicycles against the Mopeds. Prizes awarded for top in each, as well as overall.

1982 saw a 102mph top speed on rollers.
Here we see Dave Legrys beat it with a 126mph top speed- pushing a 232″ gear.
As TRACKO says- Now that’s a chainring. Good find.
PS- you can come sprint with us on February 13th at the Counterbalance Benefit at Funhouse. It takes place at the NOT QUITE VALENTINES DAY SCAVENGER HUNT. There will be prizes, as well as a raffle for a bike and other great stuff. Proceeds raise money for Team Counterbalance and their annual cross race.
This is a fundraiser for the events that the Counterbalance Team puts on. It’s going to be a great time, with not only a scavenger hunt, but Emerald Sprints as well. The proceeds will go to help put on races throughout the year.
It’s for a good cause, and it’s going to be a good time. That’s a win-win!
So grab a team mate, and get on down to Counterbalance Park at noon on Feb. 13th. Rain or Shine. Then you can come to the Sprints at the Funhouse. Woo Hoo!
You may remember the Women’s Core Whore race that took place during the West Side Invite. Niki is bringing it once again, this time for the dudes. Being a Core Whore is something that depends greatly on what is between your legs- your bike.
Meet up at Mobius and get ready to run through the stops- stacking cash and talking trash. You can find more out at the Mobius BLOG. After party to be at Mobius. There will apparently be champagne.
$5 for Messengers, $10 for Civia’s Civilians.
If you find yourself in Vancouver next weekend, check this out. Fixed Only. Vancouver riders go fast and party hard. Can you keep up?
