Penny Farthing Friday on Wednesday….
….because it’s from the future- get it?
Saw this on the Facebook floating around and had to repost. I couldn’t even wait till Friday.
Bicycle tourists of old
1977. Seattle.
Though there is no sound in the beginning, you will recognize some if not all of the roads they are riding. How rad would this be to have back in Seattle?! After the silent footage at the beginning you’ll see the track racing at Marymoor, where junior rider Greg Lemond takes a win. Pretty wild.
A long video, but worth the watch. Originally on Ride the Black Line, Kyle picked it up- and I saw it on his blog. I love old Seattle footage!
Bicycle drag racing
Party on. With parachutes.

Penny Farthing Friday (animal edition)
It’s been a while since a penny farthing has made it up on the blog. Using the survey that was posted last week as a guide, I came to find out that people other than myself have a soft spot for those beautifully dangerous machines of simpler times and harder skulls. No promises as to the consistency of penny farthing posts, but we’ll give it a go.

Chicks on bikes…. Sweet bike check too.

I love this! Seen HERE.
PS- if you showed up expecting a tattooed hipster girl straddling a bike that’s too big for her- you came to the wrong place.
